Trailerfest Rallies began in the fall of 2010 when a group of friends decided to go camping at a Tiki themed event in Lodi, CA. Within a few years that group of about 20 grew to 300 and we were renting the entire park to try and get everyone on the waiting list into the event! That park eventually eliminated many of their campsites and could no longer accommodate us. We now do 3-4 Trailerfest events throughout California. Each of them sell out months in advance.
Event sizes vary from 100 to over 300 vintage trailers. We rent the whole park wherever we go! At some events we have space for post 1980 rigs, tent camping or cabins. In order to create and maintain a "vintage village" feel, newer coaches are in sites separate areas from the vintage trailers. See each individual event for details. While this is primarily a vintage trailering event, we want to include those that may not have a vintage trailer at the moment but admire the lifestyle and want to participate.
OPEN HOUSE: On Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm we have an open house that is FREE to the public to walk in and view the trailers. If you have a classic car we usually have space for you to drive in and park. (Often youmust park offsite and walk in as RV parks don't have huge parking lots. Classic cars become part of the show if they arrive between 9 and 10 am they can usually park with the trailers.
EVERY TRAILERFEST IS DIFFERENT. You won't find the same theme twice. Many of the attendees decorate their trailer or wear costumes to match the theme or period. We try to craft everything from the food to the activities and live music around the theme. Our events are all inclusive and include your camping, some food and beverages and entertainment. Miss even one rally and you miss a lot!
While every Trailerfest has a twist, we typically have a potluck dinner, breakfast, parade, appetizer potluck, open house and live music! Everyone is welcome to play along or just observe. Be prepared to have the time of your life however you choose to participate.
