Core Instruction Sessions
In-person classes on the most popular aspects of DIY vintage trailer restoration for beginners to intermediate restorers. These sessions are presented indoors by professionals. Seating is limited.

Field Training Events
Informal classes at campsites. These may include trailer restoration courses,  crafting, cooking, and other outdoor-specific, camping-related workshops. (Bring a chair)

Costs:
  • Campsite for Thursday-Saturday nights for two adults with one Core Instruction Sessions pass. Field Trainings are available to all campers. $399. (VCT Magazine subscribers save $20.)
  • Campsite for Two Trailers with Two Core Session Passes, Share a 70 to 100 ft RV site, Thursday-Saturday nights. (two 16' max trailers plus tow vehicles must fit on the site.) Share hook-ups. $598 (VCT Magazine subscribers save $20.)
  • Walk-in on Friday and Saturday (or additional campers that would like to attend the Core Instruction Sessions). All events pass to Core Instruction Sessions and Field Training events. $129. (VCT Magazine subscribers save $20.)
  • Additional Nights: $78
  • Fountain and River sites add $20
NEW Pay by check option at checkout! Deduct the transaction fees and send us a check.
No pets are allowed at any group events or classes, no open house, and no visitors without an all-events pass. Core Sessions and Field Training are for 16-year-olds and above.  Children are welcome to enjoy all the other aspects of the park. No tents, no stakes in the grass.

  • Businesses can vend from their site.
  • Businesses are encouraged to offer a Field Training event.

Pop-Up vendor space Friday/Saturday: 10x10 sites 121 and 122.
  • Vendors not camping at the park provide their 10 x 10 pop-up. Power is available.
  • Vendors are encouraged to offer a Field Training event.
Possible Core Instruction Sessions
  1. Wood Refinishing – Restoring and sealing original wood paneling.
  2. Replacing Interior Panels-
  3. Electrical Wiring – Installing or upgrading 120V electrical systems.
  4. 12-Volt Systems – Wiring 12V systems for lights and appliances.
  5. Plumbing Systems – Installing or repairing water systems (sinks, pumps, etc.).
  6. Propane Systems – Ensuring safe connections for stoves, heaters, and fridges.
  7. Painting the Exterior – Prepping and painting vintage trailers for a fresh look.
  8. Riveting and exterior panel replacement.
  9. Aluminum Polishing – Repairing aluminum shells and polishing to a shine.
  10. Solar Power Integration – Adding solar panels and battery storage for off-grid camping.
  11. Installing Toilets, Showers, or Wet Baths – Upgrading interiors with modern plumbing.
  12. Cabinet Construction – Building or refinishing cabinets to match vintage style.
  13. Laminates Countertops – Installing laminate countertops or flooring.
  14. Flooring Installation – Laying down vinyl, tile, or wood floors.
  15. Window and Seal Repairs – Replacing or sealing windows to prevent leaks.
  16. Appliance Trouble Shooting and Restoration – Refurbishing vintage stoves, fridges, or heaters.
  17. Wood Frame Repair– Structural repairs to rot for longevity and safety.
  18. Trailer Brake Systems – Repairing or installing electric brakes.
  19. Axle, Spring, and Bearing Repair – Rebuilding or replacing suspension and axles.
  20. New Axel(s)-When you need them and how to order and install them.
  21. Insulation Upgrades – Installing or replacing insulation.
  22. Custom Upholstery – Reupholstering seats, cushions, or curtains.
  23. Adding Modern Conveniences – Installing A/C, heating units, or entertainment systems. New Lighting – Incorporating LED lights or modern fixtures.
  24. Sealing and waterproofing.
  25. Air Conditioners – Options and installations.
  26. Weight Distribution and Hitches—Upgrade to modern hitches and stabilizers, breakaway brakes, and safety chains. (Field Training?)
